MPPP’S EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE ROAD SYSTEM

By the Administrator

Members of the Infrastructure and Traffic Standing Committee of the Penang Island Municipal Council (or MPPP, Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang) made their rounds to several places on 3 nd March with the aim of improving the road system and condition.

Councillors preferred to be on the ground instead of meeting on the drawing-board to be mire realistic or down to earth.

Below are some pictures of their visit :

  1. Boo Soon Yew Says:

This is an excellent approach by the Pakatan MPPP Councillors to have a first hand look at what needs to be done pertaining to traffic matters…

The precarious situation around the Jelutong and Bukit Dumbar area needs to be addressed to avoid untoward accidents and suggestion of having a traffic light is a great idea.

Plus an improved version of the huge traffic island to enable a U-Turn from both sides of the road will also be good.

These measures regulate the flow of traffic along Jalan Jelutong in both directions and allow option to the motorist to go towards their destination rather than the current practice of infringing traffic rules to get to where they want.

Many thanks.. and my regards to En Ismail Ibramsa too !!
    Great Job Sir !!!
